The Playwell Golf Academy has enabled the DGSB PE Department to provide further opportunities for pupils to experience a sport that is not catered for within within the school curriculum. The quality of tuition and the ease at which the boys were recruited for the sessions was very professional and allowed myself to take a back seat at a time when the department was very busy.
All participating boys from year seven to sixth form have responded positively to the expert golf tuition that has been delivered in a relaxed and friendly environment. The forthcoming opportunity to watch themselves back on video is one that is much anticipated and a great learning aid.
The quality of the pupil's play has improved rapidly over such a short period of time that we look forward to strengthening our links with the academy in future years.

The Playwell Golf Academy has been running at Hereson for several weeks and has been extremely popular. As a member of the Physical Education Department I have run a golf team for the last two years and the response has been excellent. Unfortunately the majority of pupils involved have been unable to commit financially and also struggle to get to venues. The offer of the Playwell scheme to come to the site is a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to get involved, and the programme gives them a chance to learn a new game which teaches not just the skills required but the necessary etiquette associated with golf. The approach to teaching is very relaxed and allows the pupils to have fun whilst learning. As well as coming into the school, the academy has set up links with local facilities to take pupils to different sites. This has been very exciting for the pupils and they have really made the most of the opportunities given to them.

The Playwell Golf Academy has been running at Ellington School for six weeks and has been extremely popular with the girls. As a member of the Physical Education Department I have noticed that the response has been excellent. As the Playwell scheme come to the site I feel that it is the perfect opportunity for our pupils to get involved, and the programme gives them a chance to learn a new sport which teaches them not just the skills required but also the necessary etiquette associated with golf. The teaching is very relaxed and allows the girls to have fun whilst learning. This has been very exciting for the girls and they have really made the most of this opportunity and it has been decided that as the girls enjoyed the golf so much we have booked another block of five week sessions.

Golf was already an option for our senior students when Vic Todd approached me about the Playwell Golf Academy. What impressed me was the entire package Vic was offering in partnership with Terry the head professional.
Not only were the standards or professionalism, qualifications and administration equal to anything else but they were coming to us with all equipment, ruling out travel costs and additional staffing issues.
The initial six week block has proved a resounding success with 100% attendance from all of our students who have enjoyed both the opportunity to play golf and the tuition they received from qualified professionals. In addition, the opportunity for video analysis purposes and to attend extra-curricular sessions with Playwell has provided a package that is very appealing indeed.

St. Lawrence College
Playwell Golf Academy has only been working with us at St. Lawrence College since April 2009, but has already proved to be a huge hit with the pupils. Although we have had a golf activity for several years, having a professional present every week is a terrific asset and should go a long way towards improving the individual talents of all the pupils.
They are very professional in all aspects of their work.
I look forward to working with them in the foreseeable future.

Sandwich Technology School
Playwell Golf Academy has been working in school with a group of our students on a Wednesday afternoon since March 2009 now. Although this has only attracted up to 5 students in any one session, this is due to our pupils having the option of going home early on a Wednesday. However, these smaller numbers have benefited the pupils that have attended hugely. The expert tuition that they receive has not only helped their golfing ability but has also improved the confidence of several of the group.
One of our year 12 students has shown himself to be a very talented performer and is now able to use this talent in a way that otherwise he would not have been able to in the 'normal' school setting. Playwell, have also arranged for him and his younger brother to have membership at their local golf course, which along with them and their parents, I am also thrilled at as he is very giving of his time for the younger pupils in school.
I am very pleased that we have Playwell working with us, have no doubts in recommending them and look forward to more students being attracted to this activity in school.

Since the introduction of the Playwell Golf Academy, both students and staff look forward to their weekly sessions. The students in the school have various disabilities including communication and behavioural difficulties, so the introduction of a weekly golf lesson seemed a little daunting. We should not have worried. The team come to the school and set up the course. The approach is relaxed and friendly, teaching on a one to one basis. The students have become more and more competitive as the weeks have gone by and the staff are drawing lots as to who will accompany them. At the rate the students are improving we may set up an inter school pitch and put competition. they are a professional set up and build up good relationships with the students and staff. I would recommend Playwell Golf Academy to any school as we have seen the results first hand.

Terry is an enthusiastic and passionate coach, always willing to help pupils of all abilities. The students at Castle have thoroughly enjoyed the sessions, and the progression in their golfing skills reflects the excellent coaching they have received from PGA.
Terry is always punctual and on several occasions he has happily stayed late while the pupils complete their tasks. I would highly recommend PGA to any school or college looking for quality golf coaching.
